Prototype gearbox for electric vehicle

In June 2018, Novagear completed a prototype gearbox intended for use in an electric transport vehicle. The gearbox has been developed and designed from scratch, based on the functional and performance specification of the customer. The maximum power is 175 kW and the operating speed of the electric motor varies between 4’500 and 12’000 rpm.
The gearbox design has a modular structure and can be quickly adapted to new customer requirements.

The realization of this gearbox is a further milestone in our sector ‘prototyping’.
